writing books (two books published in 2006/2007 and another in 2007/ 2008, and already three to be published in 2008/2009), book chapters, case
studies (four produced in 2006/2007 and four in 2007/2008), working papers, articles (ten articles and working papers either published or under
review in 2006/2007 and eight in 2007/2008 ) and developmental tools (The Inner Theatre Inventory and the Culture Audit). He is constantly sought
after for interview by the press. He enjoys a large choice of consultancy work, and he likes to work with PhD students and MBAs when their interests
coincide and time allows.
His latest ‘project’ has been the
INSEAD Global Leadership Centre (IGLC)
where he explores the sphere of the personal and interpersonal
aspects of leadership by using the clinical paradigm. Through research,
coaching and assessment tools, the IGLC develops better understanding
of the psychological forces behind effective leaders and healthy organizations.
In a time of downsizing, outsourcing, rationalizing, and e-working,
an understanding of individual psychology is more relevant than ever
before. It empowers individuals to leverage skills, vision and entrepreneurial
acumen in order to create results-driven, sustainable organizations
by putting people first.
Under Professor Manfred Kets de Vries, one of the leading thinkers
on leadership, the IGLC conducts its research in the following domains:
- Individual and group dynamics in organizations
- Creating high performance teams
- Leadership development for high performance organizations
- Cross-cultural differences in leadership styles
- The dark side of leadership: preventing “derailment”
- Entrepreneurial leadership
- The dimensions of excellent global leadership
- Creating executive role constellations
- Psychodynamics of leadership transition
