Through research, coaching and assessment tools, the IGLC developed better understanding of the psychological forces behind effective leaders and healthy organizations. In a time of downsizing, outsourcing, rationalizing, and e-working, an understanding of individual psychology is more relevant than ever before. It empowers individuals to leverage skills, vision and entrepreneurial acumen in order to create results-driven, sustainable organizations by putting people first.

Under Professor Manfred Kets de Vries, one of the leading thinkers on leadership, the IGLC conducted its research in the following domains:

- Individual and group dynamics in organizations
- Creating high performance teams
- Leadership development for high performance organizations
- Cross-cultural differences in leadership styles
- The dark side of leadership: preventing “derailment”
- Entrepreneurial leadership
- The dimensions of excellent global leadership
- Creating executive role constellations
- Psychodynamics of leadership transition
